Does it really matter what your website looks like?

Would it matter if your blind date looked like this?

Sure what's on the inside counts the most but usually if the visitor does not like your website in the first 3-5 seconds, they're out of there and will never find out "what could have been."

Or perhaps it truly is sufficient to just DIY-er your web site? After all, you just need a web presence…right? Tell you what. Take a look at these two faces and let me know if you notice a difference...

Considering closing your doors?

Well if you're going to stop advertising, you might as well do it now. But if you're not 100% sure, let's take one last look at saving your dream first.

I see this over and over and it never begins to make more sense.

The profit picture begins to drop for a small or mid-sized company so they decide to do two things: cut their staffs and cut their advertising.

Your New Website - How to get there smooth and happily

You are short on time and high on need so it is most efficient for me to let you know what to look for in making your decision on hiring a new web designer.

I AM SO TIRED OF HEARING CLIENT HORROR STORIES!

I've turned into the Oprah Winfrey of graphic design consultancy, for goodness sake! Without fail, every single new client we've brought on in the last four years has had some sort of tale of betrayal that I have had to help them recover from in order to move them toward success today.

Originally, in my mind, I blamed the clients. Surely miscommunication had to be the culprit. Now, after having to hire (and fire) several individuals and train others who own their own graphic design firms (what the???), I now blame them both. The designers for getting themselves into situations they know they are not pre-equipped to handle. The clients for expecting to get something for nothing because, usually, the designers in question all had the "low-cost service" thread in common.

Important Reminder #1: You almost always get exactly what you pay for. Moving on.

BEST BLOG EVER - How to Make Sales All Around You: Be the expert in your circle.

Sales aren’t just going social online, they’ve gone social in the streets as well.

Everytime I go to a party, there are conversations going on about the best new app, a great off-the-beaten-path restaurant, the best yoga instructors….I leave every event with at least one new idea of something I really want to try out. And it’s not just a passing, fleeting thought. It’s something that I genuinely want to experience and, more often than not, that desire is converted into a transaction.
