Staying The Course No Matter What

Remember What You Set Out To Do And Don’t Let “Paying The Bills” Stop You.

Why did you first start doing with this?

Where were you trying to go?

Remember that, and hang on for the ride.

It turns out that, even though it stinks, the rough patches really do bring something that you otherwise could not have gotten...Damn I hate that. I suppose the only alternative is not learning anything at all...well, then...forward march.

Sometimes it is wisdom that we gain; learning key elements that will change the game plan for you from now on.

Sometimes it is a release: getting rid of things that cloud the runway and make you less effective.

And sometimes it is simply the friction required when a person transcends from a lower level to higher one. Still the same, it is like a required pain. I have never been a believer in the thought that "God allows suffering to make you better" despite the fact that you do gain something. I do not believe that nor will I ever. I do however believe that when we are put in certain situations where we feel trapped and a bit helpless, a change in character begins to occur that requires us to look at ourselves more intently than we usually do because of the day-to-day hustle. It is this forced reflection that initiates the change; not the Universe want to mold you by setting you on fire. So perhaps we should pencil-in moments for reflecton, eh? May save us quite a bit of drama.

Also in this time of pain, we usually began to look at things from the perspective of " where am I going wrong?". Sometimes it is not until we feel the waves against the pillars and the winds at the door that we come out on deck and to see the storm.

In this moment of self evaluation, tactical review, and release of ego, we are most sensitive to and aware of what's really going on. It is in the moments where we lose our bad habits and begin to shake the devils off our back.

I hate more than anything when people say things like, "oh, don't worry"..."just keep going"..."you're gonna make it"...even though my life is in such a state that I could scream. But it is true. It really is always darkest before the dawn so shake it out and keep on moving like the video says.

Happy Growing.
